A beginner-friendly start

Learn real Jiu-Jitsu, at your own pace.

Jiu-Jitsu Foundations is Bushin’s starting point for adults and teens ages 13 and up. You will learn practical self-defense in a structured, cooperative class that makes progress feel approachable from day one.

Start with the essentials

Build your first 36 core techniques through rotating one-hour lessons, so you can join with confidence at any point.

Train without the ego

Practice with people who are there to learn, support each other, and get better together.

Grow into the next step

As your skills develop, Bushin gives you a clear path toward reflex development, controlled resistance, and more advanced training.

What to expect

Your first classes focus on learning, not keeping up.

You do not need martial arts experience or a certain fitness level before you walk in. Foundations introduces the building blocks in a clear sequence, with no competitive sparring during your first 20 classes. The goal is to help you understand the techniques, build confidence, and enjoy the process.
