What to expect
A clear path from your first lesson onward.
01
Learn the core techniques
Practice practical self-defense against a larger or stronger opponent in a structured setting. Your first 20 classes focus on learning the foundations, with no competitive sparring introduced during that stage.
02
Connect your skills and develop reflexes
After completing 20 of the 23 lessons, students can join Reflex Development classes. These sessions connect techniques, build timing, and introduce controlled resistance. Positional sparring begins when students demonstrate readiness, with further training added at later milestones.
03
Demonstrate your knowledge
When ready, students can test their understanding of the 36 techniques individually and in combinations. A successful Foundations evaluation opens the next stage of training in Master Cycle Jiu-Jitsu, subject to instructor approval.
